The Hoosick Falls Fire Department is in the northern corner of Rensselaer County in New York. We have one station in the Village of Hoosick Falls which is within the Town of Hoosick. We cover approximately a 2 square mile radius. The membership of the Hoosick Falls Fire Department is comprised of active, life and honorary members.

The average membership is 25. Active membership is divided into interior structural firefighter and non-interior structural firefighter.

The Fire Department protects about 3,182 residents in the village and about 100 residents outside the village.

The Hoosick Falls Fire Department is organized to save lives, suppress and control fires, mitigate hazardous materials incidents, and provide fire prevention community programs to residents of the Fire District. The Hoosick Falls Fire Department operates one station located at 3 Griffin Avenue.

Apparatus includes one engine, one engine rescue, one 100 ft mid mount tower ladder.

It is the commitment of the Hoosick Falls Fire Department to operate safely, to prevent accidents and illness, and to establish safe work habits and guidelines to help meet these objectives.

The members of the Hoosick Falls Fire Department volunteer their time to; protect the residents of our Fire District 365 days a year.
